Mr. Cary Dabney is the Director of Faith Formation and Evangelization at St. Valentine. Prior to coming to St. Valentine, He served as the Director of Faith Formation at St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish in Dorchester, Massachusetts, in the Archdiocese of Boston. While in Boston, he taught students in every level from elementary to high school to college and has experience in teaching RCIA and facilitating youth ministry. At St. Valentine, Cary’s responsibilities include directing Religious Education/CCD classes, Adult Formation activities, assisting the Pastoral Associate with RCIA, and facilitating preparation for First Holy Communion and the Sacrament of Confirmation.
Cary is a graduate of Youngstown State University with a BA in Philosophy and Religious Studies. He also received a Masters of Divinity from Harvard University, and a Catechetical Certificate from the Theological Institute for the New Evangelization at St. John’s Seminary in Brighton, Massachusetts. He is currently working on his doctorate in systematic theology at Duquesne University. Cary has been happily married to his wife, April, for 18 years, and they have been blessed with six children and four grandchildren.
Cary also is a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps.
