Joanne Rocchino joined the St. Valentine Staff as Parish Bookkeeper in October 2016. She is originally from Rostraver Township, PA, where she attended Belle Vernon Area High School. She graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 1988 with a B. S. Degree in Chemistry and a minor in Mathematics. She continued her studies at Robert Morris University and received her Master of Business Administration Degree in 1990.
Joanne worked as a Quality Control Chemist and Research & Development Chemist in the pharmaceutical industry before leaving the workforce to stay at home and raise her four children. During that time she also did the bookkeeping for the family real estate business.
Joanne reentered the workforce in 2012 as the office manager and bookkeeper for a construction company in Eighty-Four, PA. She is still employed there part-time.
Joanne is very active in her home parish of Holy Child in Bridgeville. She is employed as an organist there and also is a member of the parish choir and Resurrection Choir. She is the Vice President of the Christian Mothers & Women’s Guild and a member of the Columbiettes.
Outside of work, Joanne likes working out at the gym, reading, cooking, spending time at her lake house in Deep Creek, MD where she enjoys boating, hiking, biking, water skiing and snow skiing. She also enjoys playing her flute in the St. Paul of the Cross Monastery music ensemble at retreat Masses.
Joanne is very excited and blessed to serve the vibrant St. Valentine faith community where she participates in church activities and sings in the choir.
