Our teachers are highly qualified educators who have many years of experience in working with young children. They provide a caring and nurturing learning atmosphere for your child. In addition to our teachers, other St. Valentine staff members participate in our programs and share learning experiences, including reading stories, leading song, and playing games with students.
Judy Mills is the founding director of St. Valentine Preschool. Over the years, Mrs. Mills has touched the lives of over 1300 St. Valentine Preschool graduates. In addition to overseeing all preschool activities, she assists the Sunday Children’s Liturgy of the Word program and is active in the summer Vacation Bible School program. Mrs. Mills loves experiencing the joy and amazement that she sees on the faces of her students when they grasp a new concept or skill. Their sense of accomplishment is amazing to witness. She uses these teachable moments to remind them that Jesus is walking the walk right along side them as they grow and learn.
Lisa Simpson leads the four-year-old Extended/Enrichment Program (4E) program. Mrs. Simpson started as a volunteer at the preschool when her children attended and then joined the preschool staff in 2008. She loves working with the 4E students as they work on expanded skills and special projects. She enjoys watching the students develop their academic and social skills and observing their progress throughout the year.
Vera Hirsh started to volunteer at the preschool when her children attended and then joined the preschool staff in 2001. She especially enjoys working with three-year-olds as they make the transition from being at home to excelling in a school environment with new academic and social skills. She loves seeing their eyes light up when they learn something new.
Tracy Manion loves everything about her role at St. Valentine Preschool. Mrs. Manion started to volunteer at the preschool when her children attended and then joined the preschool staff in 2010. Mrs. Manion likes working with the students and getting to know their families. She appreciates the strong bond between the families and the preschool. She enjoys watching the students grow academically and socially throughout the year.
