We believe Jesus is with us all of the time.  We pray for courage to make the right choices.  We need courage to be a disciple of Christ in today's world.  We have the courage to trust in Jesus' guidance as we venture forth in reaching new levels of learning.  We are not afraid to practice our faith, as we are commissioned to do so through our baptism.

1.  The faculty, staff, and families of St. Valentine School will pray,  reflect, and meditate on the prayer of Jabez for the 2001-2002. school year.  

2.  Our prayer intentions will come alive through mass petitions, bulletin boards, prayer centers, community prayer, individual prayer, the recitation of the rosary, and the Stations of the Cross.

3.  Courage equals reverence plus respect plus responsibility.  Our faith will be practiced and put into action using these three components throughout the 2001-2002 school year.

4.  We are all called to carry our cross just as Jesus did.  Through prayer and the sacrament of Eucharist, Reconciliation and Confirmation, we gather the strength to go forward doing God's work in His kingdom here on earth.
