Youngest Members of St. Valentine School Get Hopping for MDA 

The 3- and 4-year old preschoolers enrolled in St. Valentine School will participate in a Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) Hop-A-Thon on March 30 and 31. The Hop-A-Thon is a fun way to teach the preschoolers that everyone’s different and nobody’s perfect through stories and activities. 

In addition to teaching awareness and acceptance, the Hop-A-Thon gives the preschoolers the opportunity to assist others by raising money to benefit research and service programs. Preschool students will be collecting pledges from family and friends for the number of hops they complete in a two-minute time frame.  The money will benefit research, as well as services, such as hospital-affiliated clinics, summer camps, and assistance with purchase and repair of wheelchairs and leg braces.

Weather permitting, preschoolers will be participating in the Hop-A-Thon in the upper parking lot of St. Valentine School (behind St. Valentine Church) at the following times: three year olds on March 30 @ 10:30 AM and 2:30 PM and four year olds on March 31 at 10:15 AM and 2:15 PM.
