St. Valentine School Participates in MATH COUNTS

Brian Berner, Michael Bohonek, Kevin Dudiak, and Andrew Lamar represented St. Valentine School in Bethel Park in the MATH COUNTS competition at Benedum Auditorium on the campus of the University of Pittsburgh. The “mathletes” participated in three rounds of problems. In the Sprint Round, they solved forty problems in thirty minutes without a calculator. In the Target Round, they got four pairs of problems to solve in six minutes each, using calculators. In the last round, they worked as a team on team problems in twenty minutes.
