President's Message

Welcome Back

Welcome to SVS and the 2000-2001 school year. I hope you all had an exciting, safe, restful summer. I am extremely excited about the coming school year. My personal thanks go out to all who tolerated me, my clipboard, my signs, etceteras. Thanks to all members who have graciously stepped forward to chair committees. Thanks to our budget committee for their patience and understanding. Thanks to all those members who contributed over the summer in various ways to help get the school ready for our children.

I would like to extend a warm PTG welcome to our new faculty members who are in place as of this writing: Mrs. Lisa Smith DiCenzo, formerly of SVS Preschool, Full day Kindergarten; Mrs. Mary McBride, Music; Mrs. Mary R. Steedle, 8th grade homeroom; Ms. Kimberly C. Simeone, Preschool; and Ms. Lisa Anderson, 2nd grade homeroom. The PTG looks forward to working with all of you and seeing you at our monthly PTG meeting.

A warm welcome also goes out to SVS's new secretary, Mrs. Maryann Wellinger. The PTG appreciates the important function you perform.

Participation

The PTG needs ALL members to actively participate during 2000-2001.I believe every family can volunteer in some capacity at least once during the school year. It is you who make SVS that extra special place for our children.

Please review the bulletin and the website for updates and current PTG information. It is my goal to utilize these items to keep you as informed as possible.

Please take time to fill out the PTG membership application, as it is required in the PTG by-laws. There are no dues this year.

PTG Meeting

Meetings will follow the rules set forth in the by-laws and business outside of that established in the by-laws will not be acted on if a quorum is not present. Please contact me prior to any meeting if you have an item that may need to be placed on the agenda.

The first PTG meeting is scheduled for September 14, 2000, 7:30 PM at Newman House. The operating budget for 2000-2001 will be voted on. Babysitting service will be provided.

CHAIRPERSONS MUST SUBMIT A MONTHLY REPORT, EITHER IN PERSON OR IN WRITING, AT EACH MONTHLY MEETING.

Please contact me if you desire to have something placed on the agenda.

PTG Mission

As I stated in May, let us be focused on the positive during the coming year. Come out to the monthly meeting and let your voice be heard. Stand up and be counted. All of us have good ideas that will benefit SVS and our children.

The PTG officers are always ready to listen.

God Bless you and your children!
