Saint Valentine School

Patrick Murray, a seventh grade student at St. Valentine School in Bethel Park, is a top winner in the Prayer Contest for the Franciscan Celebration for Jubilee 2000. Patrick was one of three winners in the contest held last May for elementary level students, then in grades four, five, or six. The Prayer Contest was sponsored by the Knights of Columbus, North Hills Council #4029 to share the spirit of St. Francis and St. Clare in promoting a tomorrow of peace. More than 400 students from Catholic schools, religious education programs, and youth ministry programs participated in the contest.

As a winner, Patrick will receive a $50.00 savings bond. In addition, his prayer will be enlarged and displayed at the Franciscan Celebration on Saturday, October 21, 2000 at the Mount Alvernia Motherhouse in Millvale, Pennsylvania.
