Kindergarten Curriculum

For kindergarten students, every aspect of their day is part of the curriculum. From the moment the children walk into the room until the time they leave, the teacher fosters social development, good work habits, and physical development, in tandem with more formal subjects. Social development includes working with others, respecting the property of others, following classroom rules, and demonstrating an adequate attention span. Good work habits are critical to future success. The teacher tries to stress the importance of listening and following directions, working independently, and making good use of time. Finally, physical development starts with running and jumping and extends to learning to print letters and numbers.
