Come on Tuesday evenings and give us a shot!  We love to sing, have fun, and join in wonderful Christian fellowship.

St. Valentine Schola

The group normally sings at the 10:30 a.m. Mass once per month and major holidays
Warm-up is 30 minutes prior to the Mass beginning.

The Schola is a small group of singers dedicated to preserving the choral arts of the Roman Catholic tradition from Gregorian Chant to modern compositions from moderate to difficult level literature. This group is an auditioned ensemble and a formal audition is required for acceptance when spots are available. The  audition will include singing a solo piece,  sight-reading, and aural and rhythmic exercises.

Rejoice Ringers Handbell Ensemble

High school, College, and Adults

Rehearsal is held from 7:30— 8:45 p.m. Monday Evenings.
The group normally plays at the 4:00 p.m. Vigil Mass or 10:30 a.m. during the season, Christmas Holiday, and Easter.

The Rejoice Ringers Handbell Ensemble may be seen throughout the year playing special Liturgies.  Usually, this group plays at the same Mass as the Voices of the Spirit.  Different Liturgies that we play are Music Ministry Weekend, Christ The King, Christmas, Easter, and Pentecost Sunday.  Reading music is not a necessity.  We read music together and if you would like to learn, you will definitely do so.  All you need to know is how to keep a steady beat.  Come join us in a great spiritual journey of music ministry.

Resurrection Choir

High school, College, and Adults

The group normally sings at all parish funerals. No special rehearsals; just come 30 minutes before each funeral to become familiar with the music. For men and women who are available during the day, this is a wonderful way to serve our parish families in their time of need.

 Instrumentalists

High school, College, and Adults

If you play an instrument or sing, please consider offering your gift of talent during an occasional liturgy.  Busy schedules are understandable.  Therefore, we will work around what works best for you.

Cantor Ministry

High school, College, and Adults

The Cantor Ministry is for anyone interested in being trained for the cantor ministry. As a cantor, you sing certain specified parts of the liturgy by yourself, and as a facilitator you assist the assembly’s singing as needed. Ideally, any type of singing should sound like part of a continuing prayer offered by everyone.  Lots of opportunities abound for increasing the pool of qualified cantors: Funerals, Weddings, Weekend Liturgies, and Holy Days.

Beginning cantors are asked to attend a workshop conducted by Daniel Kovacic, Minister of Music.  Here, Daniel will pair you with a veteran cantor to help you learn the ropes and make the experience prayerful.
